Earth Day 2023

Thank you to those who participated in the 2023 Earth Day Free practical talks (by GreenAP Chair/Adamson Architecture Dean Arch./EnP.Sly Seno and Core leader Cat Tatlonghari), the GreenAP and the Cube GreenWall booths, the very detailed LEED Technical Tour plus the environmental contests (least waste generated, least electric bill and Bright Ideas intended for Podium West Tower tenants) hosted by SM Keppel Land in partnership with Green Architecture Advocacy Philippines, Inc. (GreenAP) with the latter who ideated and enabled these meaningful events, with intended “multiplier effects.” This event is also not possible without the support of J. KATIGBAK ENTERPRISES INC (DECRA ROOFING) and DAVIES PAINTS PHILS. These were self-directed CPD events that were conceptualized beyond the usual seminars. The event was originally for and was well attended by SM Keppel Land tenants. This was opened also to and well participated by the PGBC, PGBI, GreenAP members, architects, engineers, LGU representatives, and aspirants. The tour itself was divided into three batches due to the enthusiastic interest among lessees, with the aim of capacitating them on the practical economic benefits of green buildings. GreenAP is the Philippines’ oldest-running multidisciplinary green architecture organization, where the Podium West Tower was recently LEED Gold Certified by one of GreenAP’s core leaders, who also enabled the Philippines’ first LEED-certified building (Zuellig-Pharma building in Makati in 2007).
